I spent November reading books I already owned. Thanks to No Buy November I knocked 26 books off my list! And I didn't buy any new books. FYI - the no buying was hard but so worth it.

I reached my Challenge of the Year at the end of the month too! 250 books so far the year and still December to go. Now I'm reading my holiday books which is getting me in the spirit.

❓When do you start reading your Christmas/holiday books?
🙋🏼‍♀️I wait until after Thanksgiving. Unless its an ARC I need to get done earlier.

For all Diana's global fame, much of the human drama that swirled around her death remained veiled in mystery and intrigue. Here, in the manner of his other 17 New York Times bestsellers, Christopher Andersen draws upon important sources - many of whom are agreeing to speak for the first time - to re-create in vivid and often startling detail the events leading up to that fateful night in Paris.

Where were you the day Diana died? This tragic death left people reeling. It was an event that touched millions around the world.

This book give a lot of behind the scenes info that we didn't get to see or know. Private conversations Diana shared with her closest friends about her relationships. What happened when the news was shared with the Queen? What was Prince Charles reaction to her death? Anderson covers all these questions and more. The writing makes the reader feel like they are a fly on the wall and watching a scene unfold.

Now I didn't look at Anderson's sources or see how he backed up his writing. But it was an interesting a book. And gave me (#aroyalwatcher) a new way to look at a horrible day.

❓Do you enjoy reading nonfiction? What genres?
🙋🏼‍♀️I love just about all history nonfiction. But I don't read much of it now because I read so much of it during graduate school. I still love biographies though. And any and all books that are about royalty.

❓What do you eat at your Thanksgiving meal?
🙋🏼‍♀️ We have turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, Party Potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry salad, rolls, gravy and a vegetable (this year its roasted green beans). And of course pies for dessert. 😅

I've seen this book all over Instagram. And the blurb sounds intriguing. So I couldn't wait to read it.

Unfortunately I though the book moved really slow. I love seeing the relationships develop. Romantic and friendships. But boy, it was slow going to get anywhere.
