2020 Reading Challenge

Modern Mrs. Darcy has her 6th reading challenge this year and it looks nice and simple. There are 10 categories that look super fun and doable. If you just want to dip your toe back into the reading pool then this is the one I’d pick.

A book published the decade you were born – The Stepford Wives by Ira Levin

A debut novel – Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin

A book recommended by a source you trust (my daughter, Nicole) – Stardust by Neil Gaiman

A book by a local author (he lives in Orange County less than an hour from me) – Mr. Murder by Dean Koontz

A book outside your (genre) comfort zone – The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman

A book in translation – One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

A book nominated for an award in 2020

A re-read – The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

A classic you didn’t read in school – The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

Three books by the same author – Books 2-4 in the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon; Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, Drums of Autumn
